This service will be available by appointment only. Pickup times will be between the hours of 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM on Mondays through Fridays and 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM on Saturdays.
Scheduling a Pickup
Place reserves as before, logging into your account online and searching and browsing the catalog. If you want help placing a hold or picking out your next read, you can contact us at 603-863-3430 or rfl@newport.lib.nh.us. You can watch a helpful video on how to place a hold. We can make suggestions or recommendations based on your reading history, or we can make up a “grab bag.” You can also find lists of new books on the library’s catalog.
When we have your items ready for pickup, we will call or email you to let you know and at that time we can book your appointment or you can schedule your own using the following instructions.
- Under Choose a Service, choose “Cubby Pickup”
- Under Choose a Provider, choose “Richards Free Library”
- Choose an available day and time from the calendar
- You can then create an account for future appointments, or skip the login process and enter your contact information
- Confirm your information then click “Book my Appointment”
- You’ll receive a reminder shortly before your appointment
Please allow us 24 hours to process holds.
Picking Up Your Items
On the day of your appointment, you will have a 15 minute window to pick up your items. Please do not arrive prior to your appointment.
Items will be placed in a cubby at the library entrance, in packaging labeled with your last name. Items will already be checked out to you – so feel free to take your items and go! This is a no-contact service, meaning that staff will not be outdoors.
If you do not pick up your items or contact us, we will make an attempt to contact you before they are reshelved.
You may return materials through our book drop if you are looking for a contactless return option.
