Play board games from our collection with your friends most Fridays! Grades 6-12 4th Friends of RFL Meeting 10amMakey Makey Banana Piano (Kids and Families) 3-5pm. Come check out the Banana Piano and learn about conductivity! Can you make your own game controller out of fruit? 5th Needle Felting (kids age 6 and up) 3-4pm. Learn some basic needle felting techniques to make a critter out of wool, or use your imagination! 6th Teen Hang Out: Coloring Day (Tweens and Teens) 2:30-4pm Teens are invited to hang out, color, or just chat in the Teen Room. Coloring pages and coloring pencils provided! 7th Thursday Night Book Club: Cozy Mystery 5pm Join us for a cup of tea and a chat about The Ides of April, a mystery set during the days of the Roman Empire. 8th Make a Mother’s Day Card (Kids and Families) 3-5pm. Make a special card for your mother or someone you care about for Mother’s Day! 9th World Endurance Championship Watch Party 10am – 2pm Everyone is welcome! 11th Literary Masquerade All Week. Select a mystery book or graphic novel from our display and find the new favorite read you never expected! 13th LSPA Spring Flowers and Pollinators (kids and families) 1:00pm. Join the Lake Sunapee Association’s Ms. Kathleen for a homeschool program to learn about spring-time flowers and the pollinators that rely on them with a hands-on activity and craft. 14th LEGO Day Drop in 1-5pm. Let your imagination run wild to build anything at all with the library’s LEGOs!Writer’s Workshop 6pm. Writers of any genre, interest area, and experience level. We meet virtually, so for info email mchurchill@newport.lib.nh.us. 18th week Drop-in Spring Ribbon Wands, (Kids and families), drop in all week while supplies last. Make your own ribbon wand to play, dance, or make magic with! 20th Teen Hang Out: Exquisite Corpse Drawing Game (Tweens and Teens) 2:30-4pm Join this hilarious drawing game with your friends in the teen room! 21st Candy Sushi Snack Craft, (kids and teens) 3-4pm. Make your own sushi at the library– except it’s safe to eat because it’s all made out of candy!Adult Craft Night: Origami! 6pmSunshine Knitters 6pm All skill levels of fiber crafters are welcome! 25th week Drop In Beading (Kids and teens) All week while supplies last. Make a beaded keychain, necklace, or bracelet using your favorite technique! 26th Brown Bags and Books Book Club 12pm. This group meets monthly to talk books during the lunch hour! All are welcome! Pick up this month’s book to read at the front desk of the RFL. 27th LEGO Day Drop in 1-5pm. Let your imagination run wild to build anything at all with the library’s LEGOs! 28th Poetry Group, 7pm. Circle up with other poets to share poetry aloud, original or otherwise, and enjoy the beauty of language with other poetry lovers.Temporary Tattoo Drawing (Kids and Teens) 2:30-4pm. Stop by in youth services to draw your own temporary tattoos with a sticker and skin-safe markers. 29th Farmer’s Market Story Time, (Kids and families) @4:00pm, on the Newport Common. Join Ms Mo for stories on the common during the first Farmers Market of the season, weather permitting.
