Date Event Wed @ 11 Family Story Time! Everyone is welcome at this traditional storytime with singing and stories! Babies and children up to age 5 will find something to enjoy! Fri @ 4 Farmer’s Market Story Time! Join Ms. Mo for a read-aloud on the Newport Common at the weekly farmer’s market whenever the weather allows! Sat @ 10–2 Dungeons and Dragons 10am (Adults and Teens). Local DM Reggie from the Dragon’s Maze leads a drop-in campaign free for all! 1st Meet Mo & Liz 2:30–4:00pm (Teens). New school year means new faces! Come introduce yourself to us, ask us would-you-rather questions, and enjoy a snack! 2nd Bag Charms 2:30–4:00pm (Teens). The first craft of the school year will be bag charms made of beads! 3rd TNBC: Historical Fiction 6pm (Adults). Join us for a cup of tea and a chat about The Girl from Greenwich Street by Lauren Willig. 4th Play Date with Play Doh 10:30am–12pm (Children and Families). Meet up with other families with small children and have fun playing with Play Doh at the library! 7th Library is CLOSED for Labor Day. 8th LEGO Day 2–5pm Drop In (Children and Families). Drop by the library to play with our giant LEGO collection. Free build or help us with a kit! 8th–11th Paper Photo Holders Drop In Craft 2:30–4:00pm (Teens). Come make a paper photo holder for your favorite picture! 9th Needle Felting 3–4:30pm (Children 6+ and Teens). Stop by to learn some basic needle felting skills and make an acorn decoration! 10th Intro to Ayurveda: Indian Holistic Medicine 6pm (Adults).
Writer’s Workshop 6pm (Adults).14th Fall Window Painting 3–4:30pm (Children, Families, and Teens). Stop by to help us paint the big picture window with leaves, acorns, squirrels, apples, and everything autumnal for the season! 14th–18th Teen Drop In Craft: Coloring 2:30–4:00pm (Teens). Come color and relax in the teen room! 16th Handprint Apple Tree Craft 11:30am (Children and Families). After story time, we’ll make hand-print apple trees! We’ll leave the supplies out all day in case you want to swing by later.
Felt Pins 2:30–4:00pm (Teens). Come make a pin out of felt with your pronouns, name, or words of your choice!17th RFLU: The History of European Art 5pm (Adults) and RFLU: The Joy of Science 6:30pm (Adults). Join us for the first session of our Great Courses series!
