Summer Reading Kick Off: Gotta Play! with Steve Blunt
Don’t miss our special musical performance by Steve Blunt to kickoff the Summer Reading Program at 11am June 21st! This free event is open to everyone of all ages, so come into the RFL to sing along, get your boogie on, and sign up to read for prizes all summer long!
Steve Blunt is a dynamic musician, and we are so excited! This is a fun, upbeat sing-along show guaranteed to burn calories and fuel the imagination! With lots of laughs and audience participation, Steve’s music is never a spectator sport. His catchy tunes and bouncy beats–featuring a healthy dose of music & movement for younger children — provide an opportunity for library patrons of all ages to exercise the body, mind & spirit. Summer Reading Program Kick-Off
Our Summer Reading Program with the theme “On Your Mark, Get Set…Read!” kicks off Tuesday, June 21, with registration from 10:00 to 5:00 and a special performance by Steve Blunt, Children’s Musician, at 11:00. Watch for all your favorite programs including Tie Dye on July 19, the Frozen T Shirt Challenge on July 28, and the Ice Cream Social Finale on August 4, plus a host of other fun new programs!
Free Audiobooks for Teens All Summer!
SYNC is a free summer audiobook program for teens 13+. Two YA audiobooks are offered for free each week, typically a new title and a classic. The program works with our OverDrive software, but there are no user restrictions on the titles.The program is sponsored by OverDrive and AudioFile.
