If you have a student (age 9+) using the library after school without a guardian, we would love for you to fill out this form with information we may need in order to reach you in an emergency or to communicate updates about any ongoing issues at the library after school.
Please give us some contact information in case of an emergency, or in case your student is unable to stay at the library for the day.
Friday August 4th will be the last day to bring in book donations for the book sale. Please remember, no textbooks or encyclopedias and donations must be in good condition.

Join us at the library on Tuesday July 25th at 6:30pm to meet Matt Forrest Esenwine, author of numerous children’s books including A Beginner’s Guide to Being Human and I am Today. Matt will talk about his books and what it’s like to be an author. He will also have his books for sale.
This program is free and open to the public. We hope you’ll join us!
To prepare for Chris Bohjalian’s arrival in Newport in September for the Hale Award, we’re reading his novel Midwives! Stop by the library to check out one of our 25 copies of the book and join us for a book discussion! We have three discussions on the calendar and you’re welcome to pick one or join us for all 3.
Join us for two movie nights this month. On Wednesday May 17th at 5pm, all are welcome to see Puss in Boots The Last Wish, and enjoy some popcorn! On Friday May 26th at 3pm, teens ages 11-18 are welcome to watch The Hunger Games and enjoy some snacks! The movies are shown in the ballroom, on the third floor of the library, where we have a large screen television and lots of comfy seating. We hope to see you at one of these fun events!
